Work in Progress video output



This is phase one of my video, The idea is that the images are displayed first with the a real world photograph, a glitch effect and computer error displays the file is unreadable then glitches into the generated image. The glitch effect reveals a terminal window underneath which is the actual commands and processing of the real world images into generative buildings. This has a nicer feel and look than the previous exhibition as the transparent images became a bit muddy.

Thinking about how to blank out behind the screen in the window box got me thinking about what sort of large fabrics I had laying around. I chose to use a tabletop gaming mat that I own, the mat has a lot of personal history and was used in the store Area 51 that I used to manage. Many of the Invercargill wargaming community had played games with me on this and it felt right to include something with a personal history.
